ASL II is designed to raise your skill level and provide a "user-friendly" place to practice the manual alphabet, finger-spelling, numbers, vocabulary (hand shape, location, movement), grammar, and familiar phrases. Our goal is to build confidence for communication with Deaf and Hard of Hearing family, friends, co-workers and customers. Your growing awareness of Deaf culture will build understanding with a goal of bridging the communication gap between Deaf and hearing cultures. College students, serious high school students, "baby sign" users, and Late-Deafened adults are welcome to join the class. Some previous sign language experience is helpful.
